iPhone and iPod Touch are one of the most used gadgets by today’s youth and the bad news is that it cannot be used for flash applications or play flash games. Not only iPhone and iPod Touch, but many of the touch screen gadgets cannot use flash applications. This is because Touchscreen devices are not yet designed to understand a mouse over or touch input signal, so none of the flash applications, games and maps.
Morgan Adams says -
“One of the biggest issues with Flash on touchscreen devices is the hover/mouseover effect. Since most of the flash applications are built with a mouse pointer based control in mind, these applications respond differently to mouse-hovering as against an actual click. Alternate mechanisms for differentiating hovering from mouse clicks using gestures or tap based inputs needlessly complicate the experience. Even if users were to disregard the other issues with Flash, the mouse-hover problem is one that can be difficult to substitute on the touchscreen devices.”
