Using Traffic from us marketgid (mgid) and 2leep is against Google Adsense TOS? Many blogger now are using external traffic exchange programs like us marketgid (mgid), 2leep and etc..

us marketgid google adsense 400x196

But many blogger who use Adsense Ads on their blogs have a question that, is this against Google Adsense TOS? Most of them use these marketgid, mgid, 2leep and other services to boost their website traffic, as they promise to give you 150-300% traffic in turn what you send them. But Google Adsense TOS says that -

Google ads may not be placed on pages receiving traffic from certain sources. For example, publishers may not participate in paid-to-click programs, send unwanted emails or display ads as the result of the action of any software application. Also, publishers using online advertising must ensure that their pages comply with Google’s Landing Page Quality Guidelines. Receive traffic from online advertising unless the site complies with the spirit of Google’s Landing Page Quality Guidelines. For instance, users should easily be able to find what your ad promises.

So if you are getting traffic from unwanted sources and that too non periodic, then that traffic may considered as against Google’s Landing Page Quality Guidelines, in turn this may result in Google Adsense violation and you may get banned. So if you want your Adsense to be secure don’t use such traffic.

Yep, Padrino is right – it’s not traffic exchange. However on Google AdSense forum no one precisiely said if they (2leep and the rest) are or aren’t against AdSense TOS. So now I’m confused :/

Disclosure: I work for http://wahoha.com, a site similar to 2leep.

There is no click coercion, incentivization or other questionable activity going on at 2leep.com or mgid.com, and of course neither is there at http://wahoha.com . Hence there is no reason why using any of these fine services should cause any problems with your adsense account.

We use adsense ourselves at wahoha.com btw, and we are still friends with google.

They themselves show google adsense ad, so if their system is against google , why they aren’t banned?!

I was thinking of using these sites to promote my blog, now I’m unsure if I should…

There is no issue with Google AdSense T&Cs. Huge sites like break.com , ugo.com , thechive.com all use MGID.

You can use 2leep.com to get traffic even without placing their widget on your site. They have digg-like submit page and then your link would appear before their audience. Pure awesomeness.

Content Exchange Sites – not traffic exchange sites, so, they are just connecting bloggers and their articles and it’s perfectly safe for AdSense and other PPC networks..

However, if you need more ‘organic’ widget that 2leep.com’s or Wahoha.com’s ones it’s worth to check newsabler.com – the site similat to the 2leep.com and wahoha.com but with more quality articles and design. Don’t forget to check their new widgets.

These traffic Exchanging sites are very useful for bloggers to get traffic. If bloggers think its against adsense, simply change the ad network, like Adbrite, tehnoratti, globaltakeoff, etc,.

I’m inclined in using wahoha or 2leep for my sites but unsure about the consequences coz of the big G.

Using any of these is a waste at best, I have yet to have any link I see on 2leep, mgid, or wahoha actually go to the site the link described…so while they are not against the TOS, they are a waste of your time, and if they are a paid service, your money as well.
