How to Check Hosting Company of a Particular Website (Whois Hosting). Check or find out which web hosting service is used by a particular web site.
There are many websites which will tell you about domain details, but not many will tell details of the web hosting used by that particular domain. There are two methods to find hosting service provider -
1. You can check Whois domain and check for the two nameservers which is used by that domain, it will be similar to ns1.webhostingpad.com, etc… From this you can find the webhosting company name. Usually the name servers format will be ns1.(name of hosting company).com, etc… Note that this will work for almost all the websites and blogs which are on shared web hosting. But, you cant find hosting company if that website id using VPS or Dedicated hosting.
2. There is a website (www.whoishostingthis.com) which will tell which hosting is used by a website, but all results are not accurate as the script is using the IP address of the website to determine the web hosting provider from WHOIS database. If the owner of the IP address is not the web hosting company itself, or the web host leases the IP address, then the results will be invalid.
